What you will learn:
– The different types of cord typically used for macramé projects and which cords work best for which piece.
– How to measure for your project and give hints and tips to help during the creating process.
– Different ways to attach the plant hanger to its hanging ring.
– A variety of knots including – the square, spiral, crown and wrap knot. These can be used in future projects too.
Who is the workshop for:
– Suitable for complete beginners.
What is included:
– All tools and materials to create a macramé plant hanger.
– There will be a selection of different cord colours to choose from.
– A terracotta plant pot and a small bag of potting compost.
– A pack of herb seeds
– Tea and coffee
Please note:
– If you have a specific plant pot in mind for the plant hanger, please bring it with you on the day so that we can make sure it fits.
– Recommended size for the plant pot is between 5-7 inches wide, 5-6 inches high.
– Alternatively we will have a variety of plant pots available for you to use as a size guide.
Workshop information:
– Saturday 17th June 2023 at 11.00am
– This workshop will be held at the custom built Crafter’s Corner at Flourish Food Hall and Lifestyle Store, Saltford. It’s just off the A4 between Bath and Bristol with free parking on-site.
– Workshops typically take 2 hours, depending on group size
Who can attend?
– Anyone! Our workshops are suitable for people of all ages although, we recommend that children attending are over 8yrs old.
Cancellation policy:
– We will provide a full refund for cancellations who give at least 7 days notice.
– We reserve the right to cancel this workshop if there are not enough attendees – we will ensure plenty of notice is given if this occurs.
